Girls Run 2023 was sanctioned by Athletics Kenya in conjunction with the Nandi County government. The two-day event was attended by over 6000 participants ranging in age from 3 to 80+ and distributed over 3000 reusable menstrual kits to support girls who miss school due to period poverty.

The event was championed by marathon world record holder Eliud Kipchoge. It was also endorsed by Wesley Korir, 2012 Boston Marathon Winner and Founder of Kenyan Kids Foundation.
